Department of Sanitation

Imagine cities that are clean and orderly, without litter and offensive odors, the atmosphere will be fresh and pleasantly fragrant. All waste will be effectively contained preserving the sterility of cities and fertility of the environment. There will not be one area on the planet that is contaminated with hazardous waste. There will be no source of waste that enters into the natural environment. 100% of all human products will be completely recycled and returned to the earth in a harmless way that does not disturb the natural ecosystems. All ecosystems that have been polluted will be purified and remediated and all damages, degradation, and destruction will one day be completely revitalized with the help of the Department of the Environment. Aside from the public system, the real changes in waste management start with the individual person. People will no longer haphazardly consume disposable products but will participate in a conscious effort to conserve resources and minimize waste.
